
Malian signatory movements of the preliminary agreement platform of Algiers Thursday expressed at the end of the 4th stage of the inter-Malian dialogue their "satisfaction" with the progress of the negotiation process under the leadership of Algeria.
Speaking after a meeting with the mediation team represented by the Foreign Minister, Ramtane Lamamra, chairperson of the platform, Harouna Toure welcomed the successful conclusion of the negotiations which he dubbed "positive".
"We arrived at an exceptional stage intermaliens talks. We finally in our hands a draft agreement on which mediation has asked us to reflect and to provide, where necessary, recommendations for amendments" he added
He said that elements of the draft agreement "carry the essential goal we all share: peace, security and development," these are the issues "that take priority."
For his part, Ahmed Ould Sidi Mohamed, head of the Arab Movement of Azawad (AMA) signatory of the platform, spoke of "very positive joint efforts in all areas as for the various problems" in the negotiations.
"We enter the future as part of this process with a lot of confidence," he added, stressing that the signatories of the platform and the inhabitants of the Azawad region are "satisfied with the dialogue process."
