Sisi calls on international community to fight militants

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has called on the international community to fight the terrorist organization of Daesh.
"Laxity in fighting terror could threaten attacks even in Europe and losing this war would mean 50 years of turmoil in the entire region," Sisi said in an interview with German news magazine Der Spiegel.
Asked whether he came to office following a "coup", President Sisi denied the idea, saying that such analysis was unrealistic and that what some persons call a "coup", Egyptians consider it a second revolution.
Had the army had not stepped in, the situation would have turned into a civil war, he said.
"If citizens, even one million only, take to the streets demanding the regime to step down, it has to step down immediately," Sisi told the weekly magazine.
