
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Sunday said Arab leaders during their contacts with all international parties have always been asserting the aim and meaning behind the need for working out solutions for the Arab region crises.
Addressing the closing session of the 26th Arab Summit, Sisi voiced thanks to head of the Moroccan government for his country's hosting of the coming round of the Arab summit.
He said the challenges facing the Arab national security are grave, noting that Arab leaders have succeeded in determining their causes and taking all necessary measures to confront them. This matter will impose on all of us to continue to work to develop the means and mechanisms needed to maintain the Arab national security based on the Sharm El Sheikh declaration issued by the Arab League Council with the aim of achieving the aspirations of the Arab peoples towards a better future and hopes of the present, he added.
We have succeeded through this summit to inspire new hopes and renew joint Arab action coinciding with the 70th anniversary of establishing the league, Sisi said.
Sisi said Arab leaders have decided, emanating from their responsibilities towards the grave challenges facing the nation, to adopt a decision in principle on forming a joint Arab military force. A high-level team including the Arab chiefs of staff of the member states will meet to assess the aspects relevant to the formation of the military force.
Sisi pledged that during his presidency of the 26th Arab session that will continue with work and coordination in the service of the Arab causes.
He asserted that the tough ordeals facing the Arab nation have uncovered the genuine roots of the men of this nation and how far the Arab interests and hopes are closely tied up together.
Sisi concluded his speech by thanking the Arab leaders who attended the summit and Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Arabi on his efforts to prepare for the summit meetings. He also thanked the Egyptian institutions concerned for their efforts to secure the convening of the conference in an honorable image.
