After new governors sworn in, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi was keen on meeting the former governors and thanked them for their efforts in carrying out their duties amid critical conditions witnessed by the country, said presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef.
Sisi asked the former governors to share their experience with the new ones to resume the developmental plans in each governorate.
He further suggested that the former governors help the new ones to get acquainted with the important files.
The former governors hailed the proposal.
The Egyptian president met also with the new governors, congratulated them and expressed his wishes of success for them, adding that he is sure that they will exert their utmost efforts to carry out their national tough mission.
He underscored that the new governors should find creative solutions to the problems that hinder the march of development, adding that they should communicate with citizens to get acquainted with their needs.
Sisi said that the first mission that the governors should carry out is to achieve stability and security as well as upgrade the services offered to citizens to fulfill their aspirations of social justice and dignity.
He reiterated that the governors should combat administrative corruption by law as well as coordinate with the executive apparatuses to fight price hikes in the Egyptian markets and make sure that the fundamental needs of citizens are provided, the spokesman underlined.
Removing encroachments on the Nile and protection of state-owned lands are among the duties of the new governors, Sisi said.
