President Abdel Fattah El Sisi gave directives on Wednesday to decrease the number of conscripts tasked with securing the new headquarters of the Interior Ministry in New Cairo's Fifth Settlement to reduce expenses.
"We can secure the building using modern security systems or by the students of the Police Academy, especially as the new building is located adjacent to the academy," Sisi said during the inauguration of the new building of the ministry.
The current number of security elements cost the State huge sums, Sisi said, urging Interior Minister Magdi Abdel Gaffar to study the importance of declining this number.
