
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi gave a speech during the opening session of the Egyptian-French Business Forum Monday, said presidential spokesman Alaa Yousef.
The event was attended by French President Francois Hollande.
Sisi stressed that Egypt welcome the representatives of the French business community and increasing French investments in the country.
He further underlined that Egypt seeks achieving renaissance as a civil, democratic and modern state to fulfill the aspirations of the Egyptians and secure a decent and stable life for them.
Egypt looks forward also to allowing its people to enjoy with freedom as well as real awareness and their rights in getting good education and medical services, he noted.
The president underscored that it is important not to judge on the conditions in Egypt via the western vision due to the difference in experience and cultures, adding that Egypt aspires promoting cooperation with France not only at the economic level but at the humanitarian one as well.
Hollande delivered also a speech during the forum where he underlined the unique ties binding the two nations, adding that his country chose to support Egypt completely to participate in attaining economic development and flourish education, according to the spokesman.
He said also that the French companies trust the investment atmosphere in Egypt, noting that France understands well the challenges faced by the Arab country, especially the terrorism phenomenon and over population.
Hollande hailed the reformation policies adopted by the Egyptian cabinet, underscoring that his country seeks helping Egypt in upgrading the infrastructure sector, benefiting from the renewable energy especially in the new cities.
