President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Thursday said that Egypt and the other Arab countries give top priorities to the Palestinian cause.
Sisi made the remarks in a meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and his accompanying delegation, who arrived Cairo on Wednesday.
Egypt will continue to support the Palestinian issue in order to reach a just and comprehensive settlement, ensuring the establishment a Palestinian state within the June 1967 borders with al-Quds as its capital, Sisi said.
Sisi has welcomed Abbas, praising the efforts he is exerting in such critical times, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
Abbas, for his part, thanked Sisi for his stances supporting the Palestinian cause and the file of reconstructing the Gaza Strip.
