
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Sunday with UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan in Sharm el Sheikh city.
The get-together came on the sidelines of the Egypt Economic Development Conference, which will close today.
Presidential Spokesman Alaa Yousef said that the UAE foreign minister praised the good organization and outcome of the conference, held under the motto “Egypt the Future.”
"Egypt managed to regain trust of the Arab and foreign investors as a result of this conference," Nahyan said, hailing the promising agreements signed between Egypt and the other countries during the gathering.
"The conference provided an opportunity for the Egyptian government to brief the international community on its steps to carry out economic reforms, improve the living standards of Egyptians and review the investment opportunities in Egypt," the minister added.
He also reiterated the UAE support for the comprehensive development process in Egypt and efforts exerted to achieve prosperity and welfare of the Egyptian people.
President Sisi, meanwhile, thanked the UAE for its 'effective contribution' to organizing the conference and support for Egypt at the economic and political levels.
"Contributions made by the UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia provide a model for cooperation and coordination among the Arab states," he said.
Finally, President Sisi hailed the UAE's supportive stance towards Egypt during the past period.
