
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has directed the government to decide on all demands made by Egypt's athletes and to remove all obstacles they may face in their professional lives.
These remarks were made on the sidelines of Sisi's reception of Egypt's medal winners at Rio 2016 Olympics and Paralympics on the achievement they made by winning medals at the leading international sports events.
Praising their efforts and performance during the tournament, Sisi bestowed sport medals on the Egyptian heroes.
The president's meeting with the winners was attended by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, Minister of Youth Khaled Abdel Aziz, Minister of Defense Sedky Sobhy in addition to the heads of Olympic and Paralympic committees.
Sisi told Egypt's heroes and told them they showed a strong sense of national responsibility and gained the respect of all Egyptian people who felt happy over this achievement, Presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
The president also voiced thanks and appreciation for the rest of athletes who were not lucky to win medals at the two tournaments, Youssef added.
The athlete, for their turn, expressed appreciation for the president's honor for them.
