"All the Egyptian people welcome you as a close brother and a great supporter to Egypt and its people, as the Egyptians never forgot your noble positions when you joined your brothers in the Egyptian armed forces in general mobilization to confront the tripartite aggression against Egypt in 1956, and your role in supporting the war effort during the War of Attrition, which culminated in the glorious victory in October 1973; positions that reflect the a pure Arab chivalry and always will be appreciated by the Egyptian people," Sisi said.

He added that he and President Sisi agreed on establishing a land line to connect Egypt and Saudi Arabia in a historic step that would connect Asia and Africa and increase the trade volume between the continents to unprecedented levels.

The planned land line will also support exports from the two countries to the world, as will as forming a key bridge for pilgrims and an international outlet for the most promising projects between the two countries, along with providing jobs for people in the region.
For his part, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud said that the recently-formed 37-state Arab military coalition was necessary to prevent any interference in the domestic affairs of Arab countries, especially in Yemen.
