President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Friday a report raised by Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Irrigation and Water Resources Minister Hossam Moghazy over their recent visit to Khartoum in which they held talks with the foreign and irrigation ministers of Sudan and Ethiopia.
In a press release, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said the report focused on means of boosting cooperation and coordination among the three countries over Ethiopia’s renaissance dam.
He added that the two ministers told the president that the three countries agreed on a number of principles stated in the report that was submitted to the three heads of state for approval.
During the meeting, Moghazy said the Khartoum negotiations were a positive step, with the three sides agreeing on mechanisms for operating the Ethiopian dam and cooperating at the political level.
