
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting Wednesday with Housing Minister Mustafa Madbouly to review plans set for residential projects in the new capital city.
During the meeting, President Sisi was briefed on details of the new phase which is expected to provide 30,000 residential units, presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
The president reiterated importance of establishing a new administrative center for finances and business in the new capital, in accordance with the highest relevant world standards.
Also, he directed low-priced units should be included in the projects to serve the medium-and-low -income citizens, Youssef added.
The discussions covered a project to establish gardens and parks surrounding Cairo on 10,500 feddans space, he noted.
The parks are planned to provide spaces for cultural, arts, scientific and technological events, the spokesman added.
