
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Tuesday held a meeting with Defense Minister Colonel General Sedqi Sobhi, Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar and Chief of Staff Lt.General Mahmoud Hegazi as well as top police commanders and military brass.
Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Alaa Youssef said the meeting reviewed the security conditions, especially in North Sinai, the security plans carried out by the army and police to uproot the terrorist hotbeds and hunt down terrorists in the country.
During the meeting, President Sisi ordered continued coordination in the field work between army and police, asserting that all troops should be fully alert to confront any attempts to undermine safety and security of citizens and security troops.
Sisi also reiterated the importance of firmly standing in the face of any aggression on military, police, government and private facilities as well as maintaining the State property and its security.
The spokesman also said President Sisi voiced deep appreciation for the great sacrifices made by army and police personnel in face of terrorist and criminal acts. Sisi also saluted the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the safety of their homeland.
Sisi also asserted that the State will never forget the martyrs' families and will offer them full care, added the spokesman.
