
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued Tuesday a decree, which hands over a number of presidential powers according to Civil Service law no. 18/2015 to the Prime Minister, ministers and governors, in accordance with the Constitution.
“The President of the Republic delegates some of his powers to the Prime Minister, ministers, and governors. None of them may delegate such powers to others. All of the foregoing shall be regulated by Law,” Article 148 of the 2014 Constitution reads.
The decision facilitates process needed for daily and repeated work related to civil servants, said Presidential Spokesman Alaa Yousef.
