The participation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in the 24th session of the African Union (AU) Summit in Addis Ababa reflects growing interest in boosting ties with the African countries, said Presidential Spokesman Alaa Yousef on Thursday.
Conflicts in Africa and efforts to fight Ebola will top the agenda as African leaders, the spokesman said.
He added that the president will deliver a speech at the summit on the Ebola outbreak and the Egyptian role in helping the Ebola-stricken countries, noting that Sisi will announce new aid package for those countries.
