Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s visit to Kuwait last week was one of his most successful visits outside the country, Egyptian Ambassador here Abdel Karim Soliman said.
Speaking to MENA correspondent here, Soliman said the timing of the visit, which was upon an invitation from Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah, was very critical as it comes ahead of an economic conference Egypt will be hosting in March on investment opportunities in the country.
Egypt is heavily depending on the event to attract more investments and push forward the national economy during this important phase, he said.
Cairo will be hosting the Arab summit in March, during which its rotating presidency will be handed over from Kuwait to Egypt, he said.
During the Kuwait visit, Sisi met with the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and reassured the delegation about the investment atmosphere in Egypt, he added.
