Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain Essam Awad asserted on Wednesday that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's visit to Bahrain affirmed the depth of relations binding the two countries and comes in appreciation of Bahrain's backing of Egypt and its people.
In statements published in the Bahraini "Al Ayam" newspaper, Awad said President Sisi is deeply interested in the file of Gulf-Egyptian relations and the need for further developing them.
He also said the visit will help in raising talks on all issues of concern to both countries.
President Sisi announced in an interview with the chief editor of Egyptian newspaper Al Ahram that he will embark on a Gulf tour that will take him to Kuwait, Bahrain and the UAE early in January.
