The sixth session of the National Consensus Dialogue will be held tomorrow (March 6, 2013) from 4 pm to 8 pm at Al-Areen Resort in Al-Sakhir, National Dialogue Spokesperson Isa Abdulrahman announced. Representatives of the coalition societies, the six political associations, the government and the independent Mps will address pending issues conducive to a wider consensus for the sake of the nation and citizens. The participants will discuss a draft agenda drawn up by the National Dialogue session moderators, based on the papers submitted by all parties. The participants have already approved the following points to regulate the dialogue sessions: 1. A participant should be permitted to deliberate a point for no more than five minutes at a time. 2. ?The minutes will be drafted outlining discussions and points that have reached or not reached consensus; the draft copies will be signed and received by representatives of all sides. 3. Any participant may propose to adjourn a session for deliberation. The time allowed for adjournment will be decided upon by all participants at the point of its proposal. 4. A participant may be given the opportunity to speak for a second time on a particular point only when all other participants have completed their deliberations on the same point. 5. Points to reach consensus may not be re-discussed 6. Points that are not finalized will be rescheduled for discussion at the next session 7. Statements of the spokesperson are based on the approved minutes of the session 8. The moderators of the sessions will prepare draft agendas of the Dialogue from documents presented by all participants to be discussed at the next session. The participants have also approved the concept of “dialogue” instead of “negotiations” and agreed to consider the dialogue outcome as final. The justice minister is officially assigned to submit the dialogue outcome to His Majesty the King. Mr. Abdulrahman underscored the importance of the inclusive and multilateral dialogue engaging all components of the political spectrum, being an opportunity to promote the reform and development momentum.
