
Social Solidarity Minister Ghada Wali inspected Monday the scene of the fire that broke out in a hotel before developing to a number of nearby buildings in Cairo’s Ataba district, leaving 48 wounded.
A statement by the ministry said she assigned a team to follow up the cases of the injured who were rushed to hospitals until they all received proper treatment.
During her tour of the scene, the minister promised to offer aid to those affected by the incident following studying the nature of their losses.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Sherif Ismail visited the scene to follow up the repercussions of the fire and stand on the efforts exerted to put out the blaze.
Ismail also followed up transferring the injured to hospitals and facilitating the start of investigations into the incident.
