
The deliberations of the Sociatal Dialogue conference started in Khartoum's Friendship Hall, Sunday, amid wide community and civil society organizations participation, including university professors, think tanks, research institutes, and attendance of accredited diplomatic missions in Khartoum.
The opening session was addressed by the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omar Al Bashir who delivered a detailed statement on the role of the civil society in leading the state and formulating its strategic vision for the upcoming phase of the national accord process.
The session was opened by Professor Yusuf Fadul Mohamed, lecturer at the University of Khartoum, who stressed in his speech the need for unifying the national ranks to face the challenges ahead.
