
National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim on Wednesday sent a cable of condolences to family of Chairman of Kuwait Red Crescent Society Barjas Humoud Al-Barjas, who passed away at the age of 83. "I received, with deepest grief and sorrow, the news of the passing away of Barjas Al-Barjas; a landmark of Kuwait's media, after a long journey filled with devotion. "During his chairmanship, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) witnessed its brightest era in professionalism, craftsmanship and transparency. His pioneering role while heading Kuwait Red Crescent Society helped buttress its humanitarian and charitable work on regional and international levels," Al-Ghanim noted, extending heartfelt sympathies to the people of Kuwait on such sad event.
