Speaker of the Sahrawi National Assembly Khatri Addouh underlined Wednesday in the refugee camps of Boujdour that his institution has gained, during four decades, a “great experience in defending the cause of the Sahrawi people.”
“This constitutional institution played a major role in terms of training its Sahrawi State’s institutions including the Polisario Front, the only legitimate representative of the Sahrawi people,” said Khatri in a press conference held on the occasion of 39th anniversary of the creation of the Sahrawi Parliament.
“The Sahrawi Assembly has gained a good experience in the building of the Sahrawi State’s institutions, despite the challenges and difficulties relating to the liberation war,” said Khatri, pointing out that “the Sahrawi people decided to resist and contribute to the construction of the Sahrawi State, as well as to the organization of the Sahrawi people’s lives in the refugee camps and occupied territories.”
The Sahrawi authorities work in accordance with the Sahrawi Constitution for the enshrinement of the popular participation and promotion of democracy by involving all the categories of the Sahrawi society particularly women and youths, he said.
