
The African mediation committee informed Sudan and Darfur movements delegations that negotiations would stop for four days.
The African Union High Level Implementation Panel (AUHIP) informed delegations that AUHIP Head Thabo Mbeki is scheduled to pay a three-day visit to Germany to discuss issues related to the ongoing negotiations in Addis Ababa.
Head of the Sudanese government delegation Amin Hassan Omar told the Sudanese news agency negotiations were scheduled to resume on Thursday.
Since 23 November, Sudanese government delegations and representatives of two rebel groups, the Justice and Equality Movement and the Minnawi faction of the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM-MM) were engaged in talks on a cessation of hostilities and security arrangements in Darfur.
