
Sudan's national dialogue mechanism known as 7 +7 approved the request of the Arab League envoy to Sudan Ambassador Salah Halima to set up a high-level Arab mechanism to play a role in the Sudanese national dialogue to be parallel to the current African mechanism.
In statements to the Sudanese "Assiyassi" newspaper, a member of the Sudanese national dialogue Othman Abul Magd said the Arab League envoy's request to set up an Arab mechanism aimed at providing a chance to Arab countries through the Arab League to contribute to the peace process and national dialogue in Sudan.
Abul Magd said the Arab League has outlined a strategy to contribute to rendering a success Sudan's national dialogue and through holding regular meetings with the parties and weapons holders who are refusing to join the Sudanese national dialogue.
