
President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al -Bashir, received Sunday the response of the National Legislature to his address to the Legislature in its 9th session.
The response was handed to him by the Speaker of the National Assembly in the presence of the Minister of the Presidency of the Republic, Salah Wanasi, and a number of the heads of committees of the National Legislaturel.
The President of the Republic has appreciated the spirit of conciliation between the istitutions of the state.
The President of the Republic has asserted firmness of the adherence to principles of refuse to hegemony and looting of the country's resources by the enemies who are targeting the Sudan.
President Al-Bashir affirmed the determination of state to expand scope of political practicing and freedoms for the Sudanese people according to the law, calling on the Parliament members to give due concern to the issues facing the country, top of them is the tribal conflicts being instigated by the country's enemies.
Regarding the elections scheduled for next April, the President of the Republic indicated that is a constitutional obligation, and there is no reason for postponing the elections, giving in the same time directives to the National Election Commission to carry out in full its role in this regard.
He appreciated the roles being carried by the Armed Forces and the other regular forces in defending the resources of the homeland, commending the Rapid Support Force, which he described as capable of eliminating the rebellion at a number of areas in South Kordofan and Darfur states.
He referred to the martyrdom of 163 of the troops and the wounding of others in the operations during five months.
The President of the Republic pointed to the criticism directed by some political forces to the Rapid Support Forces, referring to the crimes committed by the rebels in Al-Leait, Towesha, Mellit and Kalmandu, saying that "by the end of current year 2014 Sudan will be free from rebellion and tribal conflicts".
Meanwhile, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr. Al -Faith Izz-Eddin, asserted that the President's address has subjected to extensive discussion and deliberations by the members of the Assembly through the Parliament's specialized committees.
He affirmed the keenness of the National Legislature to support the Armed Forces in its work to defend the homeland.
