
The Spokesman of Sudan's Armed Forces Brigadier Ahmed Khalifa Ahmed Shami in a statement he issued here Wednesday said the Armed Forces have instructed all units, formations and other supportive forces to fully implement the ceasefire declared by the President of the Republic, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces in the country for the 'Two Areas' of Blue Nile and South Kordofan.
The statement has however stressed that the Armed Forces would retain their due right to respond to any attack that targets their positions or undermine their administrative movements in accordance with the observed principle of combat, according to Sudan news agency (SUNA).
The statement said the ceasefire was fully observed as of Saturday the 18th of June 2014, and for four months as declared by the President of the Republic.
