Sudan's first presidential assistant Mohamed al Hassan al Merghani has said that he has not been assigned with any tasks ever since he assumed the top post.
A 180-day deadline set by Merghani to be assumed duties will end Thursday, according to Sudan's Al Rai Al Aam newspaper, out Wednesday.
Merghani, the son of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) chief Mohammed Osman al-Mirghani, told the paper he will hold an expanded meeting with members of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) to decide on the fate of partnership with the government.
Merghani had hinged the success of the national dialogue conference, which started in October, on the issuance of decisions to improve the economy and living conditions of citizens.
