
he newly-formed international advisory council of the Suez Canal will group a number of experts who have wide international experience in promoting and running economic zones, a source at the General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone.
Two members will be chosen each from the Arab, Eastern Asia and Africa regions, the source told MENA.
They will be picked via Egyptian embassies abroad and the Investment Ministry, the source added.
The rest of the members will be chosen from the US and Europe, he said.
In earlier statements, head of the authority Ahmed Drawish announced the formation of an international advisory council of the Suez Canal zone so that the zone will occupy its hoped-for place on world economic map.
