
Police and army forces on Tuesday stepped up their presence at polling stations in Suez governorate in preparation for the runoff parliamentary elections due to kick off today.
Many police, army patrols were deployed in all streets of the governorate, Suez Security Director Gamal Abdel Bari said.
All judges' accommodation and also their working place in polling stations were fully secured, Abdel Bari added.
An overall security plane is being drawn up to be put into force during the days of the runoff elections in Suez, he asserted.
There is full coordination between the Suez Security Directorate and the Third Field Army Command, he emphasized.
