The prosecution office in Suez is still investigating the killing of Lt. Col. Walid el Sadeq at the hand of a terrorist outside Badr Markets in the Canal city.
A conscript was also injured in the attack on police and military troops around the markets.
Prosecutors already inspected the crime scene. They are still listening to accounts of eyewitnesses, a judicial source said Monday.
The terrorist who attacked the troops, identified as Ahmed Mahrous, was also killed.
A security source said Mahrous belonged to the Muslim Brotherhood group and was wanted for attacking police troops.
