
The Syrian army continued its advances in the Northern parts of the Muslim country and completed siege of Aleppo from different angles. The army units have besieged the militant groups affiliated to the Al-Nusra Front and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in Aleppo. And in the final hours of Tuesday night, the army gained full control of Rima farms in Damascus countryside after fierce clashes with the militants. The army units also continued their advances in Yarboud in Damascus countryside and pushed back the militants from those areas. On Tuesday, military sources said that the Syrian army has seized back control over most parts of the strategic Rima Farms region in Damascus countryside. “After gaining control over Al-Sahl town in Northern Yabroud and the strategic region of Aqaba farms in Al-Qalamoun area in Damascus countryside, the Syrian army is now in control of 90 percent of Rima farms,” a military source told FNA. The source explained that the Syrian army could win back control over these regions after six days of fierce clashes with militants. Also, some 200 militants surrendered themselves to the Syrian army in Homs countryside in the Central parts of the Muslim country. More than 200 militants laid down their arms in Hassiya town in Homs countryside and surrendered to the army after the army made major advances in the region. Meantime, the Syrian army troops killed scores of armed rebels in heavy clashes in the Damascus countryside on Tuesday. The army units killed 20 militants in Al-Sahl area in the suburbs of Yabroud near the capital, Damascus. Meantime, the army’s artillery unit pounded several gathering centers of the militants in Khan Al-Sheikh in Damascus countryside and also repelled an attempt by the armed rebels who were trying to penetrate into the same area from the neighboring Douma. Also, the Syrian military sources rejected the news reports claiming that the militants have captured a military center of the Syrian army in Idlib-Mastoumeh road. The military sources underlined that the army has full control over the Dreamland military center in Idlib-Mastoumeh road. Meantime, the founder of the Free Syrian Army Riyadh Al-Assad was seriously injured in a car accident in Turkey. The conditions of Al-Assad have been described as critical and his son was also killed in the incident. Also, Citizens in various provinces across Syria on Tuesday continued to stream into streets in massive rallies to express support for the Syrian Army. The branch of the Revolutionary Youth Union in Sweida province staged a solidarity stand in the public square in Salkhad city during which the participants voiced their appreciation of the great sacrifices made by the army soldiers in the framework of defending the homeland’s unity and sovereignty. The participants, who included youth, official, popular and religious figures, stressed their unswerving adherence to the Syrian national principles. Meantime, thousands of workers in Hama province staged a solidarity stand in the yard of the Public Company for Cotton Yarn during which they chanted slogans denouncing the positions of the Arab and western countries that are supporting the terrorist groups. Joined by masses of citizens, the participants pledged to make all sacrifices alongside the Syrian army members to confront those targeting Syria’s sovereignty and stability. Elsewhere, a military source said that army units destroyed militants’ hideouts surrounding Aleppo central prison, Hilan, al-Jbaileh, al-Kholandi oil station, Kwairis. Erbid, al-Jadideh, Heritan, Diman, Sada’aya, Bustan al-Qaser and al-Mislmiyeh in Aleppo countryside. The army also killed a number of militants and injured others. Army units killed a number of militants and injured others in the industrial city and Sheikh Najjar. The source added that an army unit foiled militants’ infiltration attempt towards al-Zebdiyeh in Aleppo city, inflicting heavy losses upon the militants. In Daraa, an army unit killed and injured all members of a militant group in the Western part of Samlin village.
