The opposition Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC) accused the government forces Saturday of committing two massacres in the northern Idleb province, where more than 40 people, mostly women and children, were killed. The SRGC, in a statement about the hostilities, said Syrian regime planes launched raids on residential areas on the outskirts of Idleb killing over 25 people, as well as attacking the town of Ehsem claiming the lives of 15 civilians. The Syrian government forces carried out an assault in the western outskirts of Homs killing 15 people, including women and children. The forces also shelled populated areas in Yabroud in the Qalamon killing a number of civilians, including two children. The opposition gunmen said they killed seven Hezbollah militants while trying to infiltrate into Yabroud. Meanwhile, the official SANA news agency said the regime forces advanced two kilometers into Yabroud. This was denied by the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights. The SRGC also said the Syrian forces have been bombarding several populated areas in many parts of the country killing people and destroying properties.
