Head of the Turkey-based National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces Hadi al-Bahra praised Cairo Saturday for efforts to reach a political solution in Syria.
The Syrian opposition leader made the remarks following a meeting with Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
Egypt has been pushing for clearing the atmosphere in Syria for a political solution, he told reporters, saying, regional issues overlap in Syria making the situation more complicated.
He noted also that meeting with Egypt's Foreign Minister took up proposals and initiatives launched for settling the crisis in Syria.
"Opposition parties are open for dialogue," he said, adding, various meetings were held in Cairo in atempt to ease the dinned situation.
The Bashar al-Assad regime has no will to find a peaceful and political solution, al-Bahra asserted.
Asked about an initiative by Russia to settle aflame relations with Syrian regime, al-Bahra made it clear that "Russia is still an ally of Al Assad regime."
