Spokesman for the Syrian opposition delegation in Geneva Monzer Makhous said on Tuesday UN envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura mistakenly declared the start of inter-Syrian peace talks in Geneva.
The Syrian opposition delegation told De Mistura that any positive contact shouldn't be understood as a beginning of negotiations, Makhous told Sky News Arabia TV Channel.
The Syrian government should within a few days declare its readiness to implement goodwill measures on the ground, otherwise the Syrian opposition delegation will not participate in any further related activities, he added.
The delegation will stay in Geneva till the end of the week, he concluded.
