The Syrian opposition bloc came to Geneva to negotiate a political transition to an interim authority wielding all powers, the head of the Syrian opposition's negotiating bloc said.
Asaad Aoun al Zaabi considered this as the only way out to end violence and bloodshed in Syria and alleviate the suffering of the Syrians.
He voiced hope that an agreement would be reached on the political transition in line with the United Nations Security Council Resolution No. 2254.
He underlined that the opposition came to Geneva to prove its seriousness about reaching a political solution to the Syrian crisis.
Zaabi said his delegation discussed with the UN envoy a drop in extending humanitarian aid.
He noted that the talks tackled several issues, topped by releasing detainees and realizing a truce.
He made the remarks during a press conference held on Wednesday after the first session of the third round of Syrian negotiations with Staffan de Mistura, the United Nations special envoy for Syria crisis.
