The Syrian opposition seized on Thursday 20 jet fighters and a large amount of ammunition from a key airbase in Syria's north-western province of Idlib.
The opposition forces took control of Abu al Duhur airbase Wednesday after the government troops withdrew from it.
They seized also 15 helicopters, some of them are operative, opposition sources told Sky News TV channel.
Abu al Duhur airbase was the final regime position in the province, which is now held entirely by the opposition troops.
Syria's conflict has killed more than 250,000 people since March 2011, when the Arab Spring–inspired protests erupted in the country against the rule of President Bashar Assad.
The protests turned into an insurgency and civil war after a brutal military crackdown on the protests.
