At least 41 people have been killed in attacks by Syrian regular forces on different areas nationwide, mainly Aleppo and suburbs of Damascus, Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC) said. Eleven people were killed when missiles were fired by regular forces on a bus in Aleppo in northern Syria, while another man was killed and several others wounded in a machinegun attack by regular troops, it said. Pro-government forces are building up for a potential large-scale military operation in Aleppo at the advent of the new year, the SRGC added. Crackdowns and arrests were launched in several suburbs in the Syrian capital of Damascus, while mortar shells were fired on other areas, it said. In the Damascus suburb of Jobar, a civilian was killed in a shooting at Al-Wafedeen refugee camp while he was bringing some food commodities, it added. Meanwhile, six people were killed in an attack on Al-Zabadani Town as four others were shot dead when Al-Meleha Town came under attack, the SRGC noted. In Doma Town in Damascus' suburbs, clashes took place between the Syrian Free Army and regular forces, leaving several people dead or wounded as aircrafts flew over the town. Khan Al-Sheikh Town has been under a barrel-bomb attack since Monday, claiming the lives and injury of several people. In Hama City in central Syria, two people were killed in an artillery shelling by regular forces, while the Free Army could repulse an offensive by pro-governmental forces in Daraa, the SRGC pointed out.
