Syrian troops suffer 50 fatalities in Idlib

The Islamist opposition groups have managed to control eight security checkpoints and two military camps in Wadi Al-Dhaif and Al-Hamediya districts on the southern outskirts of Idlib governorate in a major attack since Sunday morning.
The offensive, jointly launched by Al-Nusra Front (NF) and Ahrar Al-Sham, on the regular troops left at least 50 soldiers dead besides heavy damage to the regime's weaponry, the opposition Syria Mubasher (SLN) news network reported this evening.
The sites captured by the opposition groups are Al-Abbous, Al-Miah, Al-Madajen, Al-Kamin, Al-Karout, Al-Dhab'an, Al-Za'lana and Al-Ra'ei checkpoints as well as Wadi Al-Dhaif and Al-Hamediya military camps.
The opposition forces also captured two tanks in the battle meant to cut off the regime's supply lines between northern Hama and southern Idlib, according to the SLN report.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said in its night update that the death toll of the opposition forces from 21 to 34 as a result of the regular forces' attack in Mazare' Al-Mallah and Handarat towns on the northern rural outskirts of Aleppo city.
In Ain Al-Arab (Kobane), northeast Syria, the airstrikes of the US-led coaltion on the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) killed at least 13 ISIL gunmen.
