
The Federal National Council (FNC) yesterday held its 6th session of the 16th legislative chapter which was presided over by its Speaker, Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi.
The session was attended by Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs and Hamad Al Mansourt, Director General of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.
During the session, the Council passed a draft federal law to amend law no. 3 for 2003 on the regulation of the telecommunications sector, under which the Communication and Information Technology Commission (CITC) was created.
It also approved the regulations of the FNC committees, which were drafted according to international best parliamentary practices.
