Thousands of Lebanese people demonstrated on Wednesday, demanding a solution for the waste crisis and new law on parliamentary elections.
Public campaigns, including You Stink, also called for economic and social reforms.
Lebanon's garbage crisis continues to persist since the mid-July closure of Naameh, the city's main landfill, due to overcapacity.
Today's protesters also called for a new law on parliamentary elections to be based on proportions.
A bad wave of weather did not prevent the demonstrators from participating in the mass protest.
A rally of the protesters marched to the premises of the environment ministry to salute hunger strikers over the crisis outside the building. One of the strikers has been moved to hospital when his health deteriorated.
