Future Parliamentary bloc MP, Nidal Tohme, on Thursday reiterated the Future Movement's attachment to the mixed electoral law draft that had been previously forwarded by the party in agreement with the Lebanese Forces and the Progressive Socialist Party.
However, the lawmaker regretted that near change was almost impossible, especially with the short remaining deadline.
"Everybody is heading towards the 1960 electoral law, with some tweaks, to please all sides," the lawmaker told Al-Fajr radio station.
Touching on Aoun's Gulf visit, Tohme said that it had helped bring back national and political balance to Lebanon.
"Saudi Arabia has shifted from stalemate politics to open politics with Lebanon," he added.
