Trail of Morsi, 130 others put off till Monday

Cairo Criminal Court decided on Saturday to postpone till Monday session the trial of ousted president Mohammad Morsi in the prison break case known as "Wadi El Natrun".
As many as 131 defendants, a number of leaders in the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB), Palestinian Hamas members, Lebanese Hezbollah Organization and terrorist groups are involved in the case.
The court's decision was made to hear the plea of the defense.
Morsi had been detained in Wadi El Natrun Prison and was one of those who had been freed after the 28 January 2011 prison break.
Morsi's co-defendants in the case include Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie and group leaders Safwat Hegazy, Saad el Katatni, Mohamed el Beltagy and Essam el Erian.
The defendants are also accused of damaging and setting fire to prison buildings, murder, attempted murder, and looting weapons at three separate Egyptian prisons.
The defendants are also accused of freeing “dangerous criminals” including members of Hezbollah, Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood and Jihadists.
As many as 27 defendants are held while the others are at large.
