
Transport Minister Saad el Gyoushi inaugurated on Tuesday the latest system of cameras and monitoring in the subway as part of the ministry’s plan to develop monitoring and control systems in the underground.
The project includes fixing 3,500 high quality cameras to all stations in the first and second underground lines to check on the flow of work in the subway and security condition of the citizens to minimize accidents, stealing, harassment, terror acts and sabotage.
This 40-million-pound project is one of the biggest control and monitoring projects adopted by the Ministry of Transport in the past few years.
