
Minister of Transport Hany Dahy received on Tuesday Hungarian Ambassador in Cairo Peter Kveck to discuss bilateral cooperation in the railway field.
The transport minister asserted that the national project for developing the railway system in Egypt comes as part of the integrated system aiming at enhancing the transport sector according to the international standards.
Dahy said in a statement that he discussed with the Hungarian ambassador an offer b the Hungarian government to finance 700 railway carriages and non-air-conditioned ordinary trains.
The minister quoted the Hungarian ambassador as saying that the railway projects would be funded in coordination with the Egyptian companies.
