
Tunisian Interior Minister Mohamed Najem Gharsalli will open on Wednesday the 39th Arab conference for police chiefs and Arab security.
The two-day conference will be opened at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council in Tunisia under the auspices of Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi.
The conference will be held with he participation of senior security officials in the various Arab countries along with representatives of the Arab League, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS), Arab Police Sporting Federation, the Interpol and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, according to a statement issued by the media bureau of the Arab interior ministers' council in Cairo.
The conference will also tackle a number of important issues listed on the agenda, including ways to guarantee child's rights in security work, allocate a year to confront a certain criminal phenomenon, hold periodic conference and review distinguished security experiments for member states, added the statement.
