Tunisia asked citizens on Friday to refrain from traveling to Yemen, urging Tunisians already in the fractious Arab state to display caution, TAP news agency reported.
"In light of the dangerous security developments taking place, we call on Tunisian nationals to avoid traveling to Yemen at present," the Foreign Ministry said.
In a statement, it called on Tunisians living in Yemen to be cautious when moving from one place to another.
It said Tunisians living in Yemen should contact their embassy in Sanaa if they needed anything, noting that the embassy could help them and their families return to Tunisia.
Yemen has remained in the throes of turmoil since pro-democracy protests in 2011 forced autocratic President Ali Abdullah Saleh to step down one year later.
