Tunisian armed forces pounded with artillery sites of suspected terrorists in the mountainous central and western areas, the Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday.
The army took advantage of the cold weather to attack the terrorist hideouts in Jebel Al-Chambi and Jebel Selloum in the western governorate of Kasserine, military spokesman Belhassan Al-Waslati said in a statement to the state TV station.
He noted that the rain and snow fall forced "terrorists" to set some wood afire for heating which guided the military troops to their hideouts.
He underlined that the troops will continue tracking down the "terrorists who seek to destabilize the country despite the current cold wave."
