A Tunisian soldier was killed and another wounded on Monday when a land mine exploded in a mountainous area in western Tunsia.
The Tunisian National Defense Ministry said in a statement quoted by Sky News that a land mine went off in the western heights in Kasserine while a military vehicle was passing.
The blast killed the driver and wounded another soldier, the statement said.
The incident came hours after the body of a kidnapped national guard agent was found beheaded in Kef governorate, north of the country.
