Tunisians finish vote in presidential run-off election

Polling stations in Tunisia closed their doors on Sunday at 18:00 local time, wrapping up the second day of voting in the country's presidential run-off election.
Beji Caid Essebsi, who won the first round with 39% of votes, is challenging interim leader Moncef Marzouki.
The votes are being counted now in Tunisia's historic presidential election.
The voter turnout in the presidential run-off reached 47 percent up to 05.00 p.m., according to Independent Higher Authority for the Elections (ISIE) member Nabil Baffoun.
Essebsi represents the secular-leaning Nidaa Tounes party.
Tunisia was the first country to depose its leader in the Arab Spring and inspired other uprisings in the region.
