
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister, on Tuesday, condemned the barbaric, heinous and disgusting killing of Jordan's pilot Moath al-Kasasbeh by the terrorist organization "Daesh".
In a statement, he said, "This heinous and obscene act represents a brutal escalation by the terrorist group, whose evil objectives have become apparent".
He added that "It is the defining moment that reaffirms the sound UAE position and the international coalition on strongly tackling all forms and manifestations of extremism and terrorism without hesitation." Sheikh Abdullah stressed that the heinous action of the terrorist groups and their counterparts "represent epidemics that must be eradicated by civilized societies without delay." He noted that at this sad and painful moments "We in the civilized international community must continue our campaign against terrorism." Sheikh Abdullah stressed that "We as Muslim societies, in particular, must defend our Islamic religion from these attacks and acts that aims to distort its noble values." Sheikh Abdullah concluded, "We express our sympathy and support in these sad moments to the leadership and people of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and to the family of the martyred pilot . May the Almighty rest his soul in peace.
